Here’s a couple projects that show the importance of conditioning “unfinished” leather. With the matching sofas in the garage, you can see the one in the background has been treated, the one in the foreground has not. The second example, the client was considering “re-dyeing” the sofa to a darker color to match a new decor. After, the conditioning treatment, re-dyeing was not necessary. A better choice in this case because the leather was still in excellent condition besides needing moisture.
